Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of No More Movie Tickets

I had no idea what I was up against when my son asked me to see the Naruto movie three weeks ago. With little planning and preparation, I went to pick up the tickets on Wednesday afternoon only to find out that the show was sold out. Unbecoming to me, this is Naruto’s first feature film in the US and although not a good business decision to me, it is only playing at select theaters at one select time.

I ended up seeing it at Atlantic Station after acquiring tickets through Fandango. Again surprised, the theater was packed to capacity. There are way more Naruto fans than I ever realized. A bigger surprise is that some of Naruto’s fans happen to be grown adult men and women. At first I thought that was a little weird until I finally warmed up to the movie. Action, comedy, suspense and ninja’s made for an enjoyable time. The theme was surrounded by a “never give up” plot that parents should enjoy but then again there is a scene with about 10,000 knives… spoiler.

I know that Darwin is an anime fan from my Joost post. I wonder if he caught it.
